When trying to be healthier and perhaps to drop a few pounds in order to have a leaner body, the most important thing is to give up unhealthy habits and to have some realistic goals.

This is what Harley Pasternak, the trainer who helped Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ariana Grande and Rihanna have beautiful bodies, has to say about the year that has just started and health:

“2020 is about walking more, sleeping better, and cutting out sugar. If you sleep an extra half an hour a night, you cut out half the sugar in your diet, and you hit at least 12,000 steps a day, that will drastically change your life.”

Pasternak Says Walking Does Miracles for the Body

Veteran dieters and health enthusiasts know very well it’s easier to talk about wellness goals than to achieve them. Fortunately, Harley knows a few tricks that can help people stick to their health resolutions:

“Walking is the thing that never goes away because it’s not a trend,” he says. “The Versa 2 is the latest Fitbit and it’s what I use. Fitbit will get you walking, moving more, and I wear it 24 hours a day.”

Furthermore, the celebrity trainer says that wearing a pair of shoes especially designed for walking can encourage people to do this activity more often:

“If you wear comfortable shoes you’re more likely to walk.”

Sugar Addiction is the Most Difficult to Overcome

Sugar addiction is a very serious thing that impedes people from being healthier. Pasternak says we are consuming ten times more sugar that we need to. For this reason, he decided to create a pill that helps those who can’t stop from having more and more sugar overcome their addiction. The pill is called Sweetkick, and Pasternak has this to say about it:

“It’s a sugar-control mint. Game changer to cut out sugar. It makes it so that you can’t taste sugar for up to two hours after you have this mint.”

The key to having a healthy life is focusing on habits:

“The more you focus on your habits, the process, the things you have direct control over, you will hit all of those secondary goals like losing weight,” says Pasternak. “Focus on the process. The process is the goal.”
