As summer kicks off, there are many people who want to get their best body for the summertime, and many women have their “ideal” body goal that they want to reach. The Kardashian family has some of the most famous figures in the world, and Kourtney decided to post a blog about exactly how she is getting in shape – the keto diet.

Explaining on the blog, she expressed that the ketogenic diet has given her the best figure that she has had a few years ago, even though she only participated for two months. The original reason she went on it was due to a metal detox, and it helped her to stop having sugar cravings. She added that the ketogenic diet is primarily about eating foods that are high in protein and fat, but low in carbohydrates.

She stated, “My plan this time is to eat minimal carbs and no grains, beans, or legumes. I’m focusing my meals on fresh vegetables and lean proteins. I eat three meals a day with no snacking in between, if possible.” She also plans to avoid foods with sugar, including most fruits, processed foods, root vegetables, many condiments and sauces, unhealthy fats, and alcohol.

During the first time that Kourtney did the ketogenic diet, she practiced intermittent fasting, but it does not look like she will engage in the same pattern now. Instead, she plans to have a collagen powder mixed with water when she gets up in the mornings, and she does not plan to eat before her workouts.

At breakfast time, Kourtney expressed that she will be consuming an avocado smoothie, but she will be adding a little sweetness still. She stated, “Since I’m not able to eat honey or dates while on keto, I’ll swap that for a couple of drops of Stevia. I’ll still mix in my MCT oil, bone broth powder, and blue-green algae.”

For lunch, Kourtney explained that she usually opts for a chef salad with a lot of protein from turkey, including “a base of mixed greens and egg whites.” By dinnertime, the user plans to avoid snacking by making this evening meal rich with “clean and simple” salmon or chicken. To give her the feeling of not being deprived of carbohydrates, Kourtney tends to use broccoli rice or cauliflower as a substitute. She added, “I remember last time being able to eat a small amount of sweet potato once in a while.”

Even with her decision to be aggressive in her weight loss, Kourtney does not plan to remain on the diet forever. She commented, “I know after this month is up, I will most likely go back to my regular lifestyle, especially during summer with my kids. It’s all about balance.”
